WE hold a DROP IN JIVE CLASS at every HULA BOOGIE! night from 7.30pm - 8pm. No experience or partner necessary!

DANCE CLASSES - Hukilau Hula Dance: 8 - 8.15pm plus occasional Vintage Novelty dances

Learn to do the HUKILAU HULA DANCE
EXCLUSIVE TO HULA BOOGIE!!! Imagine yourself on Pacific shores and learn to do THE HUKILAU like a true malihini. HULA BOOGIE's very own Miss Aloha will guide you through this popular 1950's hula dance. No partner necessary!
We also occasionally teach Novelty dances from the 1950's including The Hand Jive, The Bunnyhop, The 1950's Stroll. These one off classes will be annouced on the website's homepage.
BURLESQUE performances : Scheduled for 10pm - NOT EVERY MONTH - check home page!
Now and again we add bit of cheeky entertainment to the later hours. We scour the country (and sometime beyond) to bring you a choice act at least every two - three months, from the best performers the London Retro Burlesque scene has to offer. Fan Dancers, Balloon poppers, shimmy and shakers .

KITSCH SNACKS (Free!)
EVERYONE LOVES CHOCOLATE !
Well, HULA BOOGIE! regulars know that we give out chocolate after 10pm... no ordinary chocolate .... but nothing less than JIVE chocolate bars ! Ideal to keep your energy levels up !
THE POPCORN MAN !
For all you early birds...from around 8pm to 9.45pm keep your eyes out for The Popcorn Man who will be making his rounds of the tiki bar, and will be handing out cute bags of freshly popped, fluffy popcorn to tickle your tastebuds.
At other times of the years there will be additional seasonal goodies given away ... we don't like anyone to have to dance with a growling stomach !
SHOPPING
Occassionally we invite a vendor selling retro/vintage goodies to set up a stall at Hula Boogie! This could be anything from jewelery, clothing, hats, music, artwork.... check out the details page to see who will be setting up each month.
